Adobe Acrobat Reader

Nowadays, you can open PDF documents directly in your browser. In fact, if you need to add a signature, you can do so via Firefox, and it may be enough if you’re casually interacting with PDFs.

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a PDF viewer that addresses those who work with dozens of PDF files and want advanced features for viewing and interacting with documents.

The GUI is not overly complicated, as I was greeted by a welcome screen that allows me to access documents both locally or in the Adobe Document Cloud. Once I loaded a PDF file, I could access numerous more features.

As I previously mentioned, the reader allows you to fill in forms, which is something most of us have to do more often than not for school or for work. I could add text, select checkboxes and electronically sign the document.

If you have an electronic signature, you can include it and conveniently sign contracts, agreements and other legally binding documents.

I don’t share documents, but there are many professions out there that need to process dozens of documents daily. If you need to review or add your input for a project, then the tool allows you to comments, annotations, highlights, and other ideas, facilitating feedback among multiple users.

The app also includes magnification tools, text to speech and reflow mode, all accessibility features that can cater to many types of users, including those who might have trouble reviewing PDF documents standardly.

A noteworthy feature is that Adobe Acrobat Reader works with Adobe Document Cloud, and hence, you can be sure to be able to access your PDF files from any device connected to the Internet.

As expected, the changes you make to your PDFs on one device will automatically show up on all your other gadgets too. It provides a convenient way to manage all your documents and collaborate with others.
