Participating in diverse meetings with different subjects and purposes helps develop both personal and professional skills and knowledge. But when it comes to taking notes it turns out to be difficult and time-wasting, as the presenter might talk too fast for you to write all important details.
Most of the times, we resort to capturing the slideshows with a phone camera, which results in poor-quality images. There are various programs over the Internet that offer you to create notes with the captured photos, but how many come with the ability to transform those pictures into a high-quality and readable files?
ArcNote is one of the few tools designed primarily for persons who are involved in multiple projects to compose notes using camera images during meetings and organize them into distinct categories. The program is wrapped in a well-organized and modern interface divided into a section panel and a notation viewer with an individual thumbnail for each memo. The app is installed through Windows Store and is compatible with Windows 10, 8, 8.1.
It comes with six different categories, namely, contract, meeting, slide, training, whiteboard and others, along with the Recycle Bin. Unfortunately, there is no option to create custom sections, which narrows the possibility to customize the interface. To add a new item, simply choose the desired insertion method, such as camera capture, stored images and sketch and additionally, you can record your voice explaining the content of the slide.
Plus, ArcNote comes with a few editing tools, like rotate the item to left or right, un-crop and select the contrast level, as well as set the picture as the cover. Memos can be easily inserted in text, sketch and audio form. By accessing the properties icon, you have the ability to name the note, add tags and locations. The file can be previewed using a specific installed PDF reader and shared with friends and co-workers via email or Drive cloud.
In conclusion, ArcNote is a reliable and accessible utility that comes in handy when you want to create, store and organize notations from meetings or public projects, using camera-captured pictures from both computer and mobile phones.
