Battery Icons

The health and status of your PC’s battery is one important aspect, regardless if you’re rocking a notebook or a full-fledged desktop solution. Keeping an eye on the battery level can be a good way of ensuring its health, especially in the long-term. Battery Icons will allow you to “spruce-up” things a bit for your battery level indicator, with a collection of icons for various levels and battery statuses.

Once deployed, the application will have its main component active in the tray area, which will enable users’ access to the settings of the battery level indicator. Both a window notification, as well as separate, level indicators are available for the battery level, making this ideal for those who seek diversity.

The application’s settings allow one to select some of the pre-defined icons for the various levels. However, what we liked about this aspect, is that users can input their own, custom icons, for the various levels of the battery charge.

One of the aspects that were not to our liking, was the included, floating battery notification bar, which will follow your mouse cursor wherever you move it on your desktop area or other applications.

This feature cannot be turned off and it might be annoying for those who do not wish to use it in their daily routine. The fact that it cannot be toggled, might deter users right from the start.

This minimalist solution will allow you to customize your battery level icon in just a few single clicks, both through the included library, as well as by adding your own icons.
