Not only can a quality wallpaper enhance the overall look and feel of your PC, but it can also serve as an inspiration and reminder of your goals. And, the best part, is that they don’t have a significant impact on system performance lately.

Color Matrix is lightweight Microsoft Store app that allows you to customize your favorite pictures with various elements before setting them as your wallpaper or screen lock.

The app comes with a modern, user-friendly interface, and you can get started by loading one of your pictures. Unlike other similar tools, this one solely works with one image at a time. It may be a good choice if you are the kind of person who prefers to hold on to certain images.

Once you add the image, it’s time to customize it via the Insert menu. You can add a message by typing it in the Input box or, alternatively, ornate your picture with various emojis. Regardless of your choice, you can further personalize them by selecting from the dozens of fonts available.

You can also select how the items should be displayed over the image from the distribution menu, meaning that you can add a message in the top, central, left or multiple areas of the picture. Moreover, you have several color modes available as well as sizes. Lastly, you can experiment with Concentration, Max size and Number of patterns.

The app allows you to work with a white background, where you can add your own message and/or emojis over a color. As you probably guessed, you can change the menu and come out with a nice new hue from the Color menu. In this case, Color Matrix lets you choose from pre-defined palettes that you can adjust manually or via RGB and HVS color models.
