DigitalClock

Many people find it very useful to have a larger clock on their desktop, as the small one in the taskbar can often be difficult to see, especially if you are just glancing at your monitor from across the room.

DigitalClock is a small, portable program with a self-explanatory name. It enables you to display a simple clock on your desktop, which comes in two colors and three sizes. However, it doesn’t offer enough customization options.

It is worth noting that the application does not require installation, as you only need to run the executable for the clock to be displayed on your desktop. The settings file is stored in the root folder, and no registry entries are created.

However, you may wish to install the SVN Aleo font available in the Download section if you want the clock to look as it does in the screenshots, as Windows will use the default clock font otherwise.

Once the application is launched, the clock is displayed on your desktop and can be moved freely. Unfortunately, though, you cannot lock it in order to prevent accidental movement.

There are three size presets and two colors to choose from, but no other customization options. For instance, you cannot fine-tune the clock’s dimensions, change the font or disable the date display.

The clock is only available in 24H mode, which is bad news for those who are accustomed to the AM/PM format.

DigitalClock is a good choice for users who are looking for a way to display the current time on their screen, but it is lacking in some respects. It certainly looks nice, but it does not offer some important features and comes with limited customization options.
