Shapes and symbols, we've all seen and used them in countless diagrams, and they work best when you're presenting a project and want to summarize a point to get across. Whether you use them in your Word or PDF document, or in some PowerPoint presentation, using diagrams and flowcharts makes for an effective way to condense information and make it more easily digestible.
Dedicated software to help you create well-defined diagrams exists, and while you may be able to create diagrams directly in PowerPoint, for instance, they'll hardly be comparable to a bespoke program's work. EDGE Diagrammer can help you create impactful diagrams: it offers many shapes and symbols for you to use, and it allows for custom styles, too.
The program was designed to be simple for users to accommodate to, and that becomes evident once you start it up for the first time: the first tutorial will give you a general overview of how the diagrams work, allowing the user to freely customize any elements in there.
As for the diagrams themselves, they can be inserted into your project from the left panel of the interface: simply select the shape you wish to add, resize it, then insert it. You can manipulate the shape with your mouse by holding the left mouse button. Add some more diagrams in, connect them, then put some text over them, and that's that.
Insofar as the look of the shapes and symbols is concerned, you can modify that to your liking: changing their width, shadow, color is possible via the Properties menu, but you can customize things even further. Tweaking your diagrams' connection points is possible, and you can do so manually, adding and deleting as many as you see fit.
As you begin to have more elements in your project, spacing them out and connecting them might get troublesome: the Jogs functionality can help with that, as they can help you better outline the relation between your diagrams. Flow symbols can be similarly used to connect your diagrams. You can even attach labels — to the connectors, or to the shapes themselves — for clarity.
When all is done, saving your work can be done in multiple ways: usually, exporting as an image file under the .JPEG, .PNG, or .BMP extensions ensures maximum compatibility, but you can also export as .HTML.
EDGE Diagrammer is a handy tool that you can utilize to create eye-catching and information-packed diagrams and flowcharts to integrate into their projects.
