Those who are already familiarized with ESET Smart Security or NOD32 Antivirus shouldn't have difficulties in working with this tool. It sports the same interface that we have grown accustomed to, and automatically starts the real-time protection service at Windows statup to ensure round-the-clock surveillance againste e-threats.

It is possible to run a smart scan by taking into account critical parts of Windows where malware usually resides, or to opt for a custom scan to include any preferred drives and directories.

Scan settings may be configured in terms of media targets, such as local drives, removable devices, and network location, type of action which rises suspicion (e.g. file open, creation or execution), heuristics, antispyware, archives, exclusions, web access protection, protocol filtering, performance, and so on.

The real-time guard can be separately customized. ESET Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server comes loaded with log files that can be examined at any time, a quarantine for restoring or deleting dangerous objects, a scheduler for scan and update jobs, along with alerts and notifications which can be disabled in gaming mode.

There were no kind of stability issues throughout our testing, as the app did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. On the other hand, ESET Security for Microsoft SharePoint Server has not been updated for a long while. Those who ware curious about it can give it a shot, though.
