In order to take a ride on the information superhighway you need to use a web browser and the market is flourishing with them. Since it is the place where leisure and work can be done, some browsers adapted adapted to offer support for specific areas of the Internet. It is also the case of Facebook Connector, aiming to achieve exactly what the name suggests.

One might think that the application is designed to be a Facebook client for your desktop, but running the application proves otherwise. Briefly, it merely represents a simplified web browser reduced to only two available navigation tabs, from which one of them is locked on the Facebook page.

The amount of resources used by the application is not something to worry about, nor is the navigation speed disappointing. For the tab dedicated to surfing the web, an upper toolbar provides access to the address field, along with buttons to manage connection.

However, the application's functionality ends here, with no other functions worth mentioning. Even the few existing features leave a lot to be desired. For example, the poor design limits page visibility in certain window sizes, and hitting “Enter” not taking you to the desired page, leaving you to use the mouse and press the dedicated button on the toolbar.

On the other hand, the application could have proven useful if at least multiple tab support was implemented, with default settings only giving you access to a Facebook page and the other to any other place on the Internet. Favorite pages cannot be bookmarked, nor is there a history tracker to revisit pages you frequently use.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Facebook Connector mostly manages to deliver confusion, rather than a practical utility. At its core, available function only make it represent a basic web browser with an attached and constantly available Facebook page, something which can be done with any browser utility.
