Hearts Cards FOR MAC

Hearts Cards is a fun and enjoyable macOS cards game that brings the classic Windows Hearts game to your Mac and allows you to play against three skilled AI players.

Hearts is an evasion-type trick-taking playing card game that is played with four players using a standard 52-cards deck. 13 cards are dealt to each player and all players must avoid winning tricks and collect as few points as possible in order to win the game.

Hearts is also known as Black Lady, Dark Lady, Crubs, Black Queen and is part of the Whist family of trick-taking games.

Just like in the original game, you have to play your hands carefully and take advantage of the card passing round in order to get rid of dangerous cards that can force you to take a trick containing penalty points. Hence you have to pass the Ace, King or Queen of any suit, especially Spades and Hearts.

All involved players must follow suit and play a card of the same suit as the lead card. However, if you are not able to provide such a card, you can play any card, including a penalty Heart or the Queen of Spades.

All the trick or penalty points it contains are automatically won by the player who played the highest-value card of the suit that was led.

Hearts Cards’ gameplay is smooth and fluid, all your opponents play their cards in real-time and you don’t have to way for a move too long. By accessing the Preferences window you can easily set the game speed to Slow, Normal and Fast and enable or disable the sounds.

What is more, Hearts Cards allows you to switch between four different game rules, set the score limit and change the name of all players according to your preferences.
