The application also targets offline content for enhanced security. The high-risk documents section scans your computer for files containing info regarding personal data, passwords, and other high-risk info fields.

Cleaning can be done at the press of a button. On the bright side of things, you can also set up a scheduler for automatic cleaning of sections, even if a different user is logged in.

Last but not least, the application wants to prevent all methods of personal info to leak out of your comfort zone. In other words, you can block any connected webcam and microphone so that they can't be hijacked. You can choose to block either of the two, and this is done from the Status panel.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Identity Theft Preventer is sure to come in handy if you often have to use the Internet to reach pages which can seem suspicious. In fact, it’s a way of clearing your tracks, especially those pointing at personal information.
