Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey is what you get when you take a turn-based RPG and throw in some Scrabble, along with a healthy sprinkling of humor. You step into the shoes or Grimm and Rose, two adorable grim reapers who have discovered the hidden power of words, and your goal is to defeat your enemies not with weapons, but by spelling them to death.

This Remastered edition brings a host of improvements, additional achievements, a new soundtrack, more quests, fully animated enemies and shopkeepers, as well as a challenging Endless mode.

Each level in Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey consists of a series of encounters that involve battling various enemies by creating words that are as complex as possible, using the letters at your disposal. Some of them are more powerful than others, and longer words will always cause more damage.

Of course, your enemies are not defenseless, and they get their own turn to pummel you senseless, so it is important to try and defeat them as quickly as possible.

As you complete more and more levels, you will be able to upgrade your characters’ stats, improve their weapons and buy various helpful items.

All the stages can be completed more than once, and they each offer four challenges that require different approaches and impose certain restrictions. The final ones are very difficult, however, so make sure your character is prepared when trying to tackle them.

One of the best aspects of Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey is the fact that it can make you laugh, as the characters, descriptions, animations and items are all very amusing.

The Remastered edition comes with a brand new game mode in which you have to try and survive as long as possible, and you can choose your character, weapon, tile design, location and soundtrack beforehand. Because of this, the game has a lot of replayability, so it is not likely to get boring anytime soon.

Letter Quest: Grimm's Journey is a very entertaining mix between a spelling game and a turn-based RPG that puts you in the shoes of a diminutive grip reaper skilled in the art of spelling.
