MovieIndexer is a free and open-source tool that makes it super easy to scan your movie directory. You can analyze directory names and grab movie info from online databases without any hassle!
This handy tool saves the movie description and cover image right in your movie directory as a web page archive. So, you’ll have all your info neatly organized.
First things first! You’ll need to install the latest version of Java on your computer. After that, download cljMovieIndexer and unpack it somewhere you can find easily. Once you’ve done that, head to your console or terminal and type in something like:
java -jar movieindexer-standalone.jar -dir YOUR_MOVIES_DIR
Just replace YOUR_MOVIES_DIR with the path to where your movies are stored.
The cool thing about MovieIndexer? It’s written in Clojure, so it works on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS! Plus, it can use all the cores in your CPU. That means it runs really fast!
