Net.Belote FOR MAC

Net.Belote is a small and entertaining card game that enables you to play Belote game on your Mac. Belote is one of the most popular point-trick taking card games in France and can be played by two, three, or four people that form two teams.

As is the case of most OS X application, the installation process for this basic card game is reduced to a simple drag and drop action to the Applications folder.

After the installation is completed, you can start playing the game on your Mac by either creating a new session and playing with your friends, or by playing it with three other computer players.

The Net.Belote game features a set of 32 cards that are dealt in the following succession: three cards to each of the four players, then another two, and after the bids and contracts are done, another three cards will be dealt to each player once again.

Despite the original card game’s French origins, Net.Belote comes with support for the following languages: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, and Netherlands.

Note that, the highest in-game bid is the All-Trump, and you can also use the Double option or Re-double where the end results will be multiplied by four.

The game seems to run fairly well, though we have noticed a strange behavior regarding its interface when you resize the game’s main window. We would have liked some in-game documentation regarding the rules of the game, an useful feature for players who are new to Belote and card games in general.
