Nomad PIM

Nomad PIM is designed to assist users in keeping track of valuable financial, health care and contacts information.

The program comes with several built-in information folders, like “Contacts”, “Finances”, “Fitness”, “Notes” and “Schedule”, designed to accommodate most basic user needs. Each category features distinctive functions, tailored to the specific data it contains.

As one would expect, the “Contacts” component is really just an address book. Entries can be customized to include the birth date.

The “Finances” section stores all information related to bank and credit card transactions or currency exchange rates.

The “Fitness” folder keeps track of the overall body weight, as well as fat and water ratio. Based on these input parameters the program displays graphic representations.

“Schedule” is an interesting feature in that it allows users to measure in real-time the duration of an activity. Multiple entries can be made, which facilitates comparing activity timers. All other information can be inserted in the “Notes” folder.

There are several auxiliary functions that complement the core features, like the “List of spent times”, the “Task tree” and the “Workarea”, which can be used to fine-tune a text.

A calendar is always at hand, which makes planning future activities very easy. The calendar can also help with keeping track of recurring activities.

With so many core and auxiliary functions, the interface can get somewhat confusing, especially when dealing with multiple types of notes at the same time.

Fortunately, the Window menu allows users to quickly sort out the relevant information. Various hot keys are also available to hide specific windows.

Packed together, all these functions can help users in managing most their activities. None of the features could compete with those of a specialized program, but as a jack of all trades, Nomad PIM looks reasonably well.
