NotSoFlat FOR MAC

NotSoFlat is a platformer game that enables you to move your 2D character in a 3D world. The third dimension is essential to get past certain obstacles so you must learn to use it to your advantage.

The NotSoFlat hero is a small cube called Tim that has found himself far away from home one day. The only way out seemed to be a portal nearby, so Tim valiantly went forward. This way, Tim goes from scenery to scenery in an attempt to return to his home world.

Of course, to make everything more complicated, the portals work only if you collect a certain number of orbs first. Use the arrow keys to move the character around, or your mouse and certain hotkeys to navigate the menus.

Noteworthy is that NotSoFlat also provides a Perspective mode where you can see the whole puzzle from afar in order to find solutions faster. You can also pause the game and continue at a later time.

However, once you find a viable solution, the execution part can prove just as challenging: you must learn when to jump to get past certain obstacles, and timing is essential.

Unfortunately, during our test we have encountered an issue with the game: sometimes Tim would fall through the hard lines, even if this should not be possible. To continue playing, just restart the game and open the respective level again.

Even though NotSoFlat comes with a limited number of puzzles (only 8 levels are included), it can keep you entertained for some time: the difficulty level is raised with each new puzzle. Nonetheless, the game’s calming soundtrack helps you focus on your mission.
