PeperNote

When you want to quickly write down a fleeting idea or a piece of information, you might not have time to grab a piece of paper, lest the moment is gone.

PeperNote can help you in these situations, by placing sticky notes on your desktop.

Once you install it on your computer, it automatically goes to the system tray, so it does not clutter your taskbar in any way. Right-clicking its icon allows you to quickly create a new note or show all the ones you added in the past.

The lack of functions within PeperNote might discourage some users, yet it does provide you with all the essential feature you might be looking for.  However, the lack of a hotkey for creating a new note is a major drawback.

As soon as you add a note, you can choose its color by clicking the dedicated icon, then start writing the content. You cannot assign it a title, nor can you minimize it to the taskbar.

What you can do is to format the text as you see fit - you can start by increasing or decreasing the font size, then selecting the alignment type you prefer (right, left or center).

You can turn selected words, phrases or entire paragraphs to bold, italic, underline or strike-through. This way, you can easily emphasize important fragments from your note.

PeperNote is a basic application for adding colorful sticky notes to your desktop, so you can store valuable thoughts or snippets of data. Although the app in itself is not highly customizable, it does pack numerous functions for formatting the text used within the notes.
