When you have numerous files and folders on your computer, you might have a hard time locating them, should you need one specific document for an urgent task. To make you are able to quickly find your files whenever you need them, you can turn to a dedicated software solution such as Search Me.

Once you have installed it on your PC, you can access the user-friendly graphic interface of Search Me, then enter the source folder and the filename you are interested in locating (it can also be a wildcard, if you are not completely sure of the name you are looking for).

In addition to these details, you can also specify the folders you want to exclude from the search, as well as the maximum or the minimum sizes and the created or last modified dates.

Moreover, you can filter your search to process files that share the same attributes, be they read-only, encrypted, compressed or hidden.

You can further narrow down the result list by choosing the file format that should be included in the search (only one format can be selected at a time, so if you want to search among several of them, you will need to perform multiple operations).

Once you are satisfied with the result list, you can examine it within the main window of the app or you can export to TXT for later analysis.

Alternatively, you can also export a single entry to TXT and it will contain all the properties of the selected file.
