Even though multiple accounts can be created in Windows, chances are multiple individuals rely on a single one. This means you might want to keep specific files or folders only to yourself. There are some default methods of protection, but you can also rely on advanced applications like Supreme Folder Hider for more options.

With the main window up, accommodation only consists of taking a look over the set of options thanks to the intuitive design. Most of the space is where all target folders are shown. However, adding them needs to be done through the browse dialog, because dropping them over the main window has no effect.

You might also want to pay a visit to the options menu to enhance the level of security. For starters, it can be made to run with Windows so that it’s ready by the time you reach the desktop. Moreover, you can set a password to be able to use the application’s features to prevent others from revealing your hidden folders.

For faster access, the application allows you to enable hotkey trigger in order to hide and show folders. Sadly, it can’t be minimized to the tray area when not used. You don’t have to hide all folders at one, with the possibility to select just specific ones from the list. However, you can’t split them into groups.

Unfortunately, even with a password protection for the application, advanced computer users might be able to find your folders. This is because the program doesn’t use any special options to hide folders, and only relies on the default Windows hide feature which can be easily done by anyone.

In conclusion, Supreme Folder Hider comes with good intentions to help you secure private folders by hiding them and securing this with a password. However, practicality isn’t really what you expect because of the method used, which isn’t anything Windows doesn’t offer by default.
