Surf and Write

Surf and Write is a software package containing two applications, each with its individual purpose but which can help you browse the Internet or write down notes.

As the name states, you can use either Surf or Write, because despite coming in a single installer, you will be able to work with either of these two simple utilities that hardly complement each other, since Surf is an Internet browser and Write is a basic text editor.

Surf enables you to explore your favorite web pages with ease and because it lacks a lot of the additional features and options that more popular browsers have, this tool offers a satisfying speed and responsiveness.

Surf provides you with very basic features, namely 'Back', 'Forward' and 'Search', the last using Google as a default engine. However, due to the limited functionality, it is hard to believe it can withstand competition from similar programs.

Write is the second part of this application pack, and is meant to work as a text editor, enabling you to write down notes that can later be saved to TXT or SHANIOTXT format, but also a custom extension of your own devise. You can open existing TXT files and edit them to suit your needs. You can copy, paste, cut and delete elements from the text, as well as select a preferred font and its color, along with a background color.

The pairing of these two tools, Surf and Write seems difficult to understand, specifically since they do not have complementary functions, so you could very well use them individually, without needing to install the other one.

To conclude, Surf and Write is a set of two colorful utilities, the former working as a web browser, while the latter functions as a text editor, allowing you to use them separately for exploring your favorite websites or taking notes.
