Despite the numerous upgrades in modern PCs, one thing never changes, namely that you still need to do regular maintenance to keep it running at maximum performance. Honestly, it’s not even overly complicated, as I stumble across numerous tools that help you do basic cleaning with just one click.

Temp_Clear is a script designed to help you delete the temporary files on your PC along with other cache and unnecessary data.

Considering this is a script that wants to access system files, it is advisable to run it as administrator. I simply right-clicked on the BAT file and selected the Run as Administrator option from the context menu.

The idea behind the tool is to perform several predefined cleaning tasks that you can select based on the onscreen prompts. The primary task is to provide a one-click method of clearing the temporary files from the system's temporary directory and user's temporary directory.

The other operations it can perform include emptying the Recycle Bin and permanently deleting files stored there, removing Windows update files and similar cache, deleting downloaded program files and offline web pages as well as previous Windows installations.

Obviously, you can do the same operations manually, but be prepared to invest some time and effort. The idea behind this script is to streamline the cleaning process so you can easily gain more space and boost performance.

Cleaning temp files can also help with privacy and security, as some of the data may contain sensitive information such as browsing history, cookies, and cached data from web browsers and applications.
