Track Folder Changes

Track Folder Changes is a tiny and portable software program that displays directories with changed content in real time.

It doesn't feature complex options and customization preferences, making it accessible to all types of users.

Because installation is not necessary, you can save the executable file in any part of the hard disk and just click it to run. An alternative is to copy it to a USB flash drive to be able to directly launch it on any computer with minimum effort and no previous setup. Plus, it doesn't add new entries to the Windows registry.

Made from a standard window with a neatly organized structure, the interface automatically loads the directory tree at startup, showing changed folders in highlights.

You can explore the tree view and open the right-click menu of a selected file, in order to open it or to visit its location in Windows Explorer, as well as copy its full path to the Clipboard. Directory changes are reflected in real time.

The software tool worked smoothly in our testing, since it didn't freeze, crash or prompt error dialogs. Unsurprisingly, it left a small footprint on system resources, since it used low CPU and RAM to work properly.

On the other hand, it doesn't have more in-depth options for experienced users. Otherwise, Track Folder Changes gets the job done and can be seamlessly handled by rookies.
