Web Data Shark!

Emails are far from going extinct, and on the contrary, are now used more than ever. It’s highly possible that every computer user has at least one email address, which counts as a lot on a global scale. This is where Web Data Shark! comes in handy and aims to look the web for specific email addresses you just can’t find regularly or with ease.

The application is built on the .NET Framework platform so you need to make sure your computer is equipped with it before installation. What’s more, you need to run it with administrator privileges for proper functionality, but this is cleverly pointed out if you access it normally and it fails to load.

The interface you get to work with is pretty compact and minimalistic, but poses no accommodation problems. Tabs are used to delimit main functions from the rest of the options, with cleverly arranged elements so you don’t feel cluttered.

In the main window, there’s a large empty table by default, and is the place where all results are shown, along with details like company name, address, contact number, website, and the email address you’re looking for.

All controls are placed in the upper toolbar, and let you save configurations, go to options, copy addresses, and initiate the search process. Two more text fields need to be filled in with a search keyword, location to look in, as well as a drop-down menu with several search engines you can use in this regard.

In case you want to refine the search process, you need to pay a visit to the options menu. Sadly, there are not a lot of areas it can manage. In other words, the only thing you can manage is funnel your connection through a custom proxy server, for which you need to provide credentials.

Pressing the green play button puts the whole process in motion. Data is retrieved and shown in real time, and you can pause or stop the search if you found what you’re looking for. When finished, you have the possibility to send all entries to the clipboard, save them to file, or even have an email sent with any installed desktop client you might have.

On an ending note, Web Data Shark! is a practical utility that might not seem to provide much flexibility when it comes to the set of features, but it’s simplicity is enough to easily configure search settings, trigger it, and save results to file. It takes little accommodation time, a few resources, and is worth a try overall.
