WebCamGhost

Hardware / software vendors or video streaming site owners could prefer to share their video content into their various business aspects such as third party applications or environments. They would require a software solution that could help them integrate the video sharing functionality into their various content and applications.

WebCamGhost is a business to business (B2B) level application that was developed in order to provide people with a solution for embedding their Web Cam video stream into multiple products, environments, applications, etc.

Trying to overcome the main limitation who the end users will face when streaming video from their Web Cams – single application usage, WebCamGhost will enable one to use the video stream for multiple applications.

Allowing users to integrate the video source sharing between two or more applications, it will provide one with the means to split multiple source devices simultaneously. Being accessible through the command line editor, the application will offer people a series of on-screen switches, which can be used for starting / stopping the service, controlling the source / ghost devices and specify a ghost device name.

The application works by deploying a silent service that is invisible to the end users and it allows for the video stream to be routed to the different applications. Several predefined resolutions and screen aspect ratios are supported and WebCamGhost will use the highest resolutions and frame rates as requested by the ghost camera.

An idle image will be provided and users will be able to customize it to meet their requirements, by simply replacing the corresponding BMP file from the installation folder.
