WindRose PRO

WindRose PRO provides you with a full-featured application designed for creating wind roses, which are graphic representations of how the wind speed and its direction are distributed over a certain period of time.

While its main purpose is to help meteorologists analyze data and generate reports much easier, this program also comes in handy to architects who are designing building concepts (including airport runways or wind turbines) and can be used for representing the evolution of any other directional variable.

WindRose PRO guides you through all the necessary steps for generating the final wind rose, from importing, processing and analyzing raw data (or the frequencies of the directional variables) to creating charts and exporting the output. It takes into consideration the presence of wind turbines in a location, enabling you to determine its wind power potential.

Charts can be customized by adding them a title, logos, legends and notes and data can be easily filtered by value or the date and time. The application can perform crosswind and tailwind calculations, which comes in handy for airport runway designers.

The output wind rose can be saved in various formats, such as BMP, JPG, PNG, DXF (for CAD applications), SHP (for GIS systems) or exported to Excel or Google Earth (in KML format).
