DRM-X 4.0

DRM-X 4.0, which stands for Digital Rights Management, is a cool encryption tool designed to help you keep your content safe. With its strong security setup, it gives you full control over your intellectual property and content rights. Plus, it supports HTML5 and mobile systems, making it super versatile!

Protect Your Zoom Meetings with XZoom

So, here’s where things get interesting: the folks behind DRM-X also created XZoom, an app that helps protect your Zoom meetings. Basically, XZoom is a lightweight client that has the DRM-X 4.0 standard built right in! This means you can safeguard your Zoom sessions against unwanted actions like screen recording or accessing your meeting through a virtual machine.

Why You Need DRM Protection

With so many online activities happening these days—think trainings and coaching sessions—having some kind of protection for your Zoom meetings is definitely something people are looking for. It’s a smart move to implement DRM protection now more than ever!

Getting Started with XZoom

If you're wondering how to use XZoom, don’t worry; it’s pretty straightforward! Just keep in mind that you'll need both a DRM-X 4.0 Enterprise account and a Zoom Pro account. This means you'll have to pay for both services to add that extra layer of security to your meetings.

The Setup Process

The first step is logging into your DRM 4.0 account. Look for “License Profiles” where you’ll see an icon in the “Protect Zoom” column—go ahead and click that! Then fill out the license profile settings needed to enable XZoom. You’ll need the Zoom SDK key and secret, which you can get by creating an SDK on your Zoom Pro account in the Marketplace.

You’ll also need the Zoom meeting ID and passcode. Once you've got all this set up, a link will be generated for your XZoom meeting. Just invite users to download XZoom and share this link with them so they can join!

A Few Limitations

XZoom is definitely an interesting tool but remember—it won’t work unless you have both accounts mentioned earlier: a Zoom Pro account and a DRM 4.0 Enterprise account.
