HUMANITY COLORS INSTALLATION

• Simple Install
         Quickly install an existing theme.
• Advanced Install
         Create your own color combination.
• Humanity-Dark
         Use icons made especially for dark panels.

SIMPLE INSTALL

• Place Humanity-Colors.tar.bz2 in your Home folder.
• Open a terminal, enter one of the commands from the table below, and press Enter to run. The new theme will be installed to ~/.icons.

ADVANCED INSTALL

You can create a custom theme, and use your own color combinations. To do this, you have to choose four custom colors and use their six-digit hex codes (e.g. #ffffff).

• Place Humanity-Colors.tar.bz2 in your Home folder.
• Now, you will need to modify the following command.

  tar -jxf Humanity-Colors.tar.bz2 && cd ~/Humanity-Colors && rm INSTRUCTIONS.html -r SCREENSHOTS && find . -type f | xargs sed -i -e "s/edd563/LIGHT/g" -e "s/e08223/DARK/g" -e "s/cd8033/LIGHTBORDER/g" -e "s/bb5e12/DARKBORDER/g" -e "s/Humanity-Colors/NAME/g" && cd ~ && mv Humanity-Colors ~/.icons/NAME;"

• First, substitute all instances of NAME with the name of your new theme (preferably using only letters, numbers, -, and _).
• Then, substitute all instances of LIGHT, DARK, LIGHTBORDER, DARKBORDER with six-digit hex codes corresponding to the colors of your choosing.
         LIGHT= The lighter basic shade.
         DARK= The darker basic shade.
         LIGHTBORDER= The medium-dark shade for borders.
         DARKBORDER= The darker shade for borders.
• Open a terminal, copy the modified command, and press Enter to run. The new theme will be installed to ~/.icons.

HUMANITY-DARK

If you are using dark panels, you can use the Humanity-Dark notification icons.

• Install an icon theme using any of the instructions above.
• Make sure you have the package humanity-icon-theme installed.
• Modify the command below by replacing NAME with the name of your icon theme.

  cp -r -t ~/.icons/Humanity-NAME /usr/share/icons/Humanity-Dark/*

• Open a terminal, copy the modified command, and press Enter to run.

If you have the Humanity Panel or Humanity-Dark Panel icons installed, you can also add them to your new theme. Use the command above, but replace "Humanity-Dark" with "Humanity-Panel" or "Humanity-Dark-Panel".
