Install DVD-Cloner for Mac
DVD-Cloner for Mac provides three formats for installation package: .pkg, .dmg and .zip formats. You can select any of them to install but the .pkg format is recommended.
1. Steps to install the .pkg format: After installing the .pkg format package, please double-click on it, and then install it step by step following the directions. During the installation, you may need to input the administrator's account and password, which is necessary to set up files in the /applications directory. You can input them without worrying. Otherwise, please use the other two formats to install.
2. Steps to install the .dmg format: After installing the .dmg format package, please double-click on it, and the installation file will be mounted automatically. Please copy the DVD-Cloner for Mac's program file on the hard disk such as /Applications in the pop-up window. You can also add an alias on your desktop if you need.
3. Steps to install the .zip format: After installing the .zip format package, please double-click on it to unzip the file. After this, you can run DVD-Cloner for Mac directly or you can cut and paste it to other places.
Uninstall DVD-Cloner for Mac
If you want to uninstall DVD-Cloner for Mac, please run DVD-Cloner for Mac first, and then select the "Uninstall DVD-Cloner for Mac" option in the "Help" menu.
If you want to delete the key file, please select the "Delete the registration information" option. (Note: This is not available if your original program is the non-registered version.)

5. How to combine two DVD-9s to one DVD±R DL with DVD-Cloner for Mac?
Step 1: Run DVD-Cloner for Mac and select the "Combine two DVDs to one DVD±R DL" copy mode.
Step 2: Insert the source DVD disc, select the target DVD burner and then click on "NEXT".
Step 3: Select a menu template. A simple menu can be added for the convenience of playback. You can select a template and define the volume names. If you do not know how to do it, simply click on the "NEXT" button to skip and the default menu will be applied.
Step 4: Affirm the copy configuration and then click on the "START" button.
Step 5: It starts reading the first disc. After the reading of the first DVD is completed, please insert the second DVD disc and it will start reading.
Step 6: After the reading is completed, the drive will eject automatically and please insert a blank DVD±R DL and then it will start burning.

6. Is there a movie menu in the copied DVD under the "Split one DVD-9 movie to two DVD-5 discs" copy mode?
Yes. The first DVD disc reserves the movie menu of the source DVD, and the second DVD disc only contains the second half of the main movie. If you want to omit the movie menu, you can deselect the option "Keep menus when splitting a DVD-9 movie to two DVD-5 discs" in the "Advanced Setup" window.
7. Can DVD-Cloner for Mac copy the backup DVD movie?
Yes. The backup DVD movie can be copied without using the original DVD disc again so that you can preserve the original DVD discs.
8. Can the copied DVD be played on DVD players?
Yes, the copied DVD can be played on DVD players.

Step 3: Select a copy mode and click on "NEXT". Two different interfaces will appear according to the movie size.
When the source DVD movie is less than 4.7G, there are three copy modes for you to choose from:
A. Perfect 1:1 DVD copy
This copy mode brings you an excellent burn experience. The copied disc will remain 100% same to the original, no quality loss!
B. Movie-only copy
Copy the main movie on the original DVD disc to a blank DVD-5 disc, with menus and special features omitted.
C. Movie customized copy
In this copy mode you can select your desired chapter(s) to copy.
When the source DVD movie is over 4.7G, there are five copy modes for you to choose from:
A. Movie complete copy

Note: If you insert a DVD±RW, it will erase the disc first.

12. How to burn the DVD movie from the hard disk to a DVD±R?
Step 1: Run DVD-Cloner for Mac and select the "Copy the DVD movie from the hard disk to a DVD±R" copy mode.
Step 2: Select the source movie from the hard disk and the target DVD burner and then click on "NEXT".
Note: Three kinds of source files can be recognized: DVD movie folders; .dvdmedia files; ISO files.
Step 3: Select a copy mode and click on "NEXT". Two different interfaces will appear according to the movie size.
When the source DVD movie is less than 4.7G, there are three copy modes for you to choose from:
A. Copy the DVD movie to a DVD±R without modification
Directly burn the source movie to a DVD±R/RW without any modification.

13. What is the function of "Burn method" in the "Advanced Setup" window?
There are two options "E-SAO" and "E-DAO" for "Burn method". If you select "E-SAO", it will burn only one session each time and is suitable for DVD±R. If you select "E-DAO", it will close down the disc after the burn. The default setting is "E-DAO".
14. What kinds of input and output file formats does DVD-Cloner for Mac support?
DVD-Cloner for Mac supports for copying a DVD disc to a DVD disc, a DVD folder, an ISO file, a .dvdmedia file and burning the DVD folders/ISO files/.dvdmedia files from the hard disk to DVD±R/RWs.
