End User License Agreement
POG ® r2.0 is being distributed as freeware provided that you do not repackage, sell or re-sell it. Furthermore, you may not sublicense, rent or lease any portion it. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or modify it. You may not copy any related documentation or create any derivative works.

POG, its components and related trademarks are the property of its writer, Orfeo Bernardo. Orfeo Bernardo makes no warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, as to any damages resulting from POG's use or misuse.

System Requirements
  • Microsoft Windows XP or better.
  • Microsoft .NET Framework r2.0.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.
  • Intel Pentium MMX ® or compatible.
  • 800x600 screen resolution or better.
  • 2MB typ. of of free hard disk space or USB memory.
  • 32MB RAM or more.
  • Internet Connectivity.

Installation
POG is installed in 4 steps;

  1. Install Microsoft .NET Framework r2.0 as required.
  2. Unzip and copy the POG files to your hard disk or USB memory key.
  3. Change the login password from password to a secret password.
  4. Configure all firewalls and any routers accordingly.

If your Windows installation does not already include Microsoft .NET Framework r2.0, it must be installed in addition to any other versions already installed. More likely than not, this process will also require Windows Installer 3.1 or later. If prompted, Windows Installer may also be downloaded from the Microsoft website. Note that the latest Windows versions; including all Vista releases, already have Microsoft .NET Framework r2.0 as part of their installation and therefore require no further action. Consult the Microsoft website or your system administrator for details.

POG.exe uses a stateful, outbound TCP connection to access several web services located on www.orfeobernardo.com. Configure your system accordingly. Consult your system administrator for greater detail on this topic.

Removal
To remove POG from your system, simply delete all related files. On the otherhand, Microsoft .NET Framework may be removed from your system using Windows Control Panel. To access;

  • Click the Start button.
  • Click the Control Panel option.
  • Click Add / Remove Programs for Windows XP.

Then remove; uninstall, the offending item from the expanded program listing. Note that the uninstall process may only be performed by administrators.

Updates
Extract POG.zip to a new folder on your desktop. Open the new folder and launch POG.exe. Note that POG will automatically create four more files. All five are required to run POG. Change the login password from password to a secret password. Select the Synchronize option from the Account Manager's Edit menu. Locate and open your existing POG database file. Once synchronization is complete, the upgrade is complete.
