AccountAudit is a handy tool that helps you take a good look at the user account database of a Domain Controller in a Windows Domain. It’s super useful for keeping track of your accounts!
What Can You Report On?
- Accounts with no password
- Accounts that don’t need password changes
- Accounts with lots of bad password attempts
- Locked out accounts
- Accounts with expired passwords
- Accounts where passwords haven’t been changed in a long time
- The last logon time for users
- The last logon Domain Controller used by users
- An accurate count of bad password attempts across the domain

The reports generated by AccountAudit come in HTML format and are packed with helpful info! You’ll find notes, recommendations, and risk ratings that can guide you on what to do next.
Limitations to Keep in Mind:
This tool is free for up to 50 accounts, so it’s great if you’re just starting out or have a smaller network to manage.
