ANT Downloader FOR LINUX

No matter what your OS of choice might be, BitTorrent clients are not difficult to find. If, however, you're not looking for something that's mainstream or popular, you could try out ANT Downloader.

ANT Downloader is a cross-platform (works on Linux and Windows), free, and and open-source BitTorrent client. It's built using Electron, Angular 7, and Golang.

The main selling points of ANT Downloader are its looks, its ease of use, and, of course, the fact that it works on two of the most popular OSes out there.

Before we go even further, it's worth noting that ANT Downloader has reached the end of its development life, meaning the project is currently archived on GitHub, and won't be receiving future updates. Even so, thanks to its AppImage packaging, it seems to work well on even the newer versions of most Linux distributions.

Even though ANT Downloader is not the most advanced client of this type out there, it offers enough features for users who aren't looking for the latest or greatest.

The client features a simple yet very efficient GUI, it has arguably low resource consumption (even though it's not exactly what one might call lightweight thanks to its Electron base), as well as support for IPV4 and IPV6 settings.

ANT Downloader supports both torrent and magnet links, and is even capable of playing videos while downloading.

Taking everything into account, ANT Downloader is a decent little BitTorrent client for both Linux and windows. While it most certainly won't blow your socks off in terms of features, and the fact that the project is not actively maintained anymore, it's still a good alternative to other more popular apps of this sort.
