How It Works

However, this works best with portable applications only. Once you've created the compressed file, it's saved next to your original source folder. Running Your Compressed Files

When you run the newly created EXE file, it temporarily unpacks everything so you can use your application as normal. Once you're done and close out of it, everything gets packed back up into a lightweight package again. Just remember: make sure all your data is saved in the original folder! Otherwise, any changes might not carry over when you launch it again.
