BigSpeed Video Chat SDK

BigSpeed Video Chat SDK is a cool set of two ActiveX controls, which are the Client and Server. They help you create a private video chat network for secure messaging. Imagine having your own little corner of the internet where you can chat safely!

Secure Messaging with AES Encryption

Your messages are kept safe with on-the-fly 128-bit AES encryption. This means your data is scrambled so that only you and the people you're chatting with can see it. You get two ways to protect your info: symmetric encryption with a shared secret key or asymmetric encryption using 1024-bit public/private keys.

Server Management and Private Communities

The server plays a big role in keeping track of who's online and making sure everyone is who they say they are. When you're connected to a server, it creates a private community just for you and your friends. Plus, you can tweak things like video frame quality and motion detection for better video compression!

Efficient Bandwidth Usage

No need to send every single frame if it's not much different from the last one! You can have one-on-one or even one-to-many voice/video sessions without hogging all your bandwidth.

Smart Audio Features

The average bitrate gets lowered because of silence compression, which means less data is sent when no one is talking. There's also a Video Activity Detector that helps tell when there's speech happening versus silence or background noise.

Echos Be Gone!

A strong double talk detector helps keep echos away, making conversations clearer. You also have options to mute recording or playback, and audio data comes in raw PCM format so you can visualize it right in the app.

Real-Time Notifications

You'll get notified about things like signal overloads (which could mean distortions) and transmission delays (thanks to network congestion). Communication made easy!

Text Messages & File Transfers

You can send two types of text messages: alerts and chat messages between peers! Plus, there's file transfer capability for direct exchanges.

User-Friendly Integration

BigSpeed Video Chat SDK uses an elegant event-driven approach that makes it super easy to integrate into Windows applications. It focuses on providing a responsive user interface while dodging multithreading issues. Sample apps come included for Visual Basic 2005 and Delphi 7.
