BirdData is a cool database designed for bird keepers. While it’s mainly made for parrot breeders, it can also be super helpful for pet owners too!

Track Your Birds Easily

This software helps you keep track of important bird records like identification info, and you can even add six custom data fields. It allows room for weight records and notes, with space for up to 2000 entries! You can view weight info on its own or grouped by birds, which is really handy.

Search Made Simple

Need to find something? No problem! BirdData has a search function that lets you look through all your bird records using any text string. Just type in what you're looking for, and voila!

Daily Weighing Functionality

There's a neat daily-weigh feature that helps you find baby birds that are a certain age or younger on any given date. You can enter weights and comments right there! This makes keeping up with daily data easy or even catching up on notes from paper logs.

Pair Data Tracking

The program also tracks pair data, giving you details about bird origins and diary entries that are date-stamped. Plus, it keeps tabs on egg-laying activities and calculates hatch dates based on the info you provide.

User-Friendly Updates

In version 3.0, pet data used to be separate but now it’s all integrated into the main bird data system—how convenient is that?

Print Records When Needed

You can print most lists and records to keep permanent copies. There’s full documentation included as well as a Windows Help file. If you're ever stuck, just hit the F1 key for help right when you need it!

A Personal Touch

I created BirdData based on my own experiences as a parrot breeder. After releasing it, I expanded features based on feedback from other breeders.

Date Handling Note

A quick note about dates: BirdData reads "00" as 1900 and "01" as 1901. It handles current dates just fine but remember to enter years fully (like “2001”). An update will eventually allow two-digit year entries between 1951-2050.
