Bulk Files Renamer is a handy Nautilus script that makes it super easy to rename files and folders all at once. Whether you're cleaning up your downloads or organizing your projects, this tool helps you rename everything recursively without breaking a sweat.
It was tested on Ubuntu 8.04, but don't worry! It should work just fine with other Linux distributions too. So, no matter which version you're using, give it a try!
Requirements:
If you want to install Bulk Files Renamer, just drop it into /home/USERNAME/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts
. You might need to press Ctrl+H
if you can't see the .gnome2 folder in your home directory – it's hidden by default!
If you're looking to convert file names beyond just Upper Case, it's easy! Just open the script with any text editor and follow the comments inside. It's pretty straightforward!
