The Story Behind ClockingIT

ClockingIT was created for fun, not profit, using Ruby on Rails. It started when Erlend, one of the creators, was juggling multiple projects as a consultant. Keeping track of everything—like who needed what report—became a real hassle. So, after just six days of diving into Ruby on Rails, ClockingIT was born!

The app has been updated and improved over time, but its core idea remains the same: to help people manage their tasks better.

The Team Behind ClockingIT

Erlend and Ellen Simonsen are the awesome couple behind ClockingIT. They live in Oslo, Norway. Erlend handles all the programming and feature designs while Ellen focuses on making it look great with her interface design skills.

The best part? They're keeping it free! They host everything from their apartment since they already had internet and server setup from other projects. So aside from their time spent on it, there are no costs involved.
