Cross Checker

Cross Checker is a handy app designed to help you analyze files that have genetic fingerprints, like RFLP, RAPD, and AFLP. It can easily open various image formats such as .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .wmf, and .emf. Not just that, it also works with lane indications (.ccl), marker indications (.ccm), and interpretation files.

Exporting Projects Made Easy

You can export your projects in .bmp format if needed. If you want to save only specific parts like lanes or markers, no problem! You can extract and save just those elements too. Plus, if you're dealing with ALF files, you can convert them by setting parameters like start and stop time, sampling rate, lane width, spacing, and margins.

Flexible Viewing Options

When it comes to viewing your data, Cross Checker gives you plenty of options! You can show lane and marker indications along with knots, numbers, names, interpretations, crossings, and size markers. The app lets you display either lanes or markers selectively—whether they're positive or negative—and it even allows interpolation of lanes while extrapolating markers!

User-Friendly Calculators

This app has built-in calculators for crossings, standardized signals, band intensities, and fragment sizes. It’s pretty cool because you can slice images and read/edit binary interpretations too! You can also examine tables that include values and binary data as well as genotype information.

Customizing Your Experience

If you're into personalization, the program lets you manually set preferences like balance adjustments for lane width or marker height in interpretations. You can customize layout colors too or redefine maximum deviation settings for your band seeks.

A Note on Updates

Just a heads up: the program has been discontinued. So there won't be any new updates rolling out. But don't worry; it runs smoothly on Windows 10!
