Debian Font Manager (or dfontmgr for short) is a cool GUI tool for Defoma. With it, you can easily check out all the fonts that are registered with Defoma, see their hints, and find out their status. This means you’ll know which apps have managed to register these fonts successfully and which ones haven’t!
One of the neat features is that you can register a new font just by dragging and dropping its file into the manager. If you've got a font that you no longer want to use, it’s super easy to unregister it too! Plus, if you want to update how a registered font behaves, you can change its hints and re-register it without any hassle.
If you're using a Defoma-aware application that relies on an id-cache and run into an identifier conflict (this happens when two fonts share the same identifier), dfontmgr lets you decide which font should take charge of that identifier. It’s pretty handy when managing multiple fonts!
This software also comes with GUI versions of some utilities from both Defoma and psfontmgr. So not only does it help with your fonts, but it also gives you access to additional tools right at your fingertips.
