DeSmuME is a totally free and open-source application that runs on top of the X11 Window System of any GNU/Linux distribution, providing users with a high-quality Nintendo DS emulator.
DeSmuME allows users to effortlessly save or load the state of the game, record, play and stop movies from DSM files, pause or reset games, and use frameskip and layers modes. The game window can be rotated with 90, 180, and 270 degrees.
The application is written entirely in the C++ programming language and uses a graphical user interface written with the GTK+ GUI toolkit. It is a cross-platform software that runs on GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Mac OS X.
On Linux, the program is distributed as a universal source archive, allowing users to configure, compile, and install it on a wide range of platforms. It can also be easily installed from default software channels of many Linux distributions.
In conclusion, DeSmuME is a fantastic Nintendo DS emulator that will entertain users of all ages. While it currently doesn't support Wi-Fi network connections, we hope this feature will be implemented in the future.
