What is DirectFBGL FOR LINUX?

DirectFBGL FOR LINUX

DirectFBGL

DirectFBGL is a cool OpenGL extension that works with DirectFB. It's designed to help you get the most out of your graphics rendering.

How Does It Work?

The magic happens because it uses DRI for hardware rendering, which means better performance and smoother graphics.

Requirements for DirectFBGL

If you want to get started with DirectFBGL, you'll need a couple of things:

  • DirectFB CVS

  • Mesa embedded-2-branch

Installing DirectFBGL

Getting DirectFBGL up and running is pretty straightforward! Once you've installed Mesa, follow these steps to build DirectFBGL and its examples:

  1. Run './configure' (or use ./autogen.sh if you're using the CVS version of DirectFBGL) with this argument: '--with-mesa='. For example, you can type: --with-mesa=/home/dok/cvs/mesa3d/Mesa

  2. Next, just type $ make.

  3. Finally, run $ make install to complete the setup!
