Description

Election Party is an educational video game that simulates a Colombian electoral campaign, using fun mechanics and Augmented Reality functions to show the complexity of elections in Colombia and the power of democracy.

Colombia is a country full of contrasts. Its history, diversity and geography make it a country where "magical realism" is an everyday life and anything can happen. Something that does not escape its electoral system, loaded with rites and unusual events, make it the perfect context to learn about the presidential elections having fun, posing strategies or reacting to rival plans, within a party compared to the different celebrations and carnivals that Colombians celebrate.

Election Party, at first, is an educational board game that simulates a Colombian electoral campaign, aimed at both the Rosario community and the general public. It was created by professors Danny Ramirez and Ana Beatriz Franco from the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Universidad del Rosario. The video game is an adaptation of the award-winning board game in order to reach a wider audience and make use of technology to enhance its message.
