Easy Installation Process

The first thing you'll want to do is install FlashPoints. Don’t worry; it’s a straightforward process! Just follow the simple setup wizard, and you’ll be good to go. After installation, make sure to check out the Help file that pops up. It’s super helpful because it walks you through the next steps of getting everything set up.

Loading the Add-On

Now that you've got it installed, launching FlashPoints is nearly the same for both CAD apps. Open either AutoCAD or BricsCAD and type in the command '_APPLOAD' in the command prompt. A dialog box will show up asking you to load an application.

Selecting Your Add-On File

Just hit the 'Add' button, navigate to where FlashPoints lives on your computer (usually right on your C drive), and choose 'install_addon.lsp'. Another dialog box will pop up asking if you want to 'Install FlashPoints.' Click yes, restart your software, and you're all set!

User-Friendly Interface

You’ll notice FlashPoints shows up with a compact 'Points Number Input Box' along with a more robust main toolbar. The input box lets you enter numbers quickly instead of messing around with coordinates.

Manage Your Point Groups Effectively

The toolbar is pretty cool too! You can manage point groups, import points from files, create new points, edit them, save changes, adjust elevation settings, modify attributes like height and orientation, plus filter entities as needed.
