Description

Free Port Explorer

Free Port Explorer is a super handy and lightweight tool for keeping tabs on all the open ports on your computer. It’s designed to be user-friendly, so even if you’re not a tech whiz, you’ll find it easy to get started.

Easy Setup Without Installation

The cool thing about Free Port Explorer is that you don't have to install it! Just unzip the app folder anywhere on your hard drive and double-click the executable file to launch it. This means you can also save Free Port Explorer onto a USB drive and run it on any computer without needing to install anything. Easy peasy!

No Mess Left Behind

One of the best parts? This tool doesn’t mess with your Windows registry or create extra files when you remove it, so your system stays clean.

User-Friendly Interface

The interface is simple and divided into sections. You can keep an eye on all ports or focus just on TCP, UDP, remote connections, listening ports, established ones, or those that are shutting down. You'll see important details like ID, protocol type, local and remote addresses along with port numbers and each process's status.

Handy Features for Monitoring Ports

You can export data to CSV format for a closer look later. Plus, there are options to refresh views and even keep the window always on top of others. If you want minimal distractions, Free Port Explorer can minimize itself to the system tray too! You can customize colors for text and backgrounds as well.

Tools at Your Fingertips

This tool comes packed with useful features like Lookup, Ping, Traceroute, Statistics, and Whois for any selected process. You can even open Command Prompt or Notepad without leaving the interface!

Performance Review

When we tested Free Port Explorer, it used very little CPU and RAM resources—so it won’t slow down your system! We didn’t face any crashes or errors during our evaluation either; however, scanning ports took a bit longer than expected. Overall though, this tool has some pretty handy options for monitoring open ports effectively.
