User-Friendly Setup

After a quick setup that’s pretty straightforward, you'll see a simple window. It has a clean design where you can use the built-in file navigator to pick one of the radar images provided by the developers.

Open Your Own Images

If you have your own pictures with radar info, no worries! You can open those too, as long as they’re in GIF, PNG, or JPG format. You’ve got options for viewing—like toggling overlays or checking out range and topographic views. You can also find out the latitude and longitude of specific points or jump to different spots by entering coordinates.

Weather Info at Your Fingertips

You can enable stepping and view graphs showing meteorological info like dBZ (decibels relative to Z) and rain rates. If you're interested in rainfall info from radar loops or Nowcast data, you can save those files easily too! Want to save an image? Just grab the radar image or even take a snapshot of the GetNexrad window.

Upload with Ease

You can upload files straight to your website via FTP—either with credentials or without. Plus, if you're working within a Nexrad boundary file, it's possible to create point files for pixels by converting Ridge2 or R2 N0Q formats—or do it without conversion.
