Gin Rummy FOR MAC
Overview
Gin Rummy is a super fun and easy card game for two players. At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt 10 cards. One card is placed face up to start the discard pile, while the remaining cards are face down in the stock pile.
How to Play Gin Rummy
Players take turns picking up cards from the discard pile or the stock pile and then discarding a card from their hand to the discard pile. The objective is to form melds and reduce deadwood points.
Melds and Deadwood
Melds consist of 3 or 4 cards of the same rank or 3 or more cards in a sequence of the same suit. Deadwood cards are the remaining cards with points assigned to each card.
Aim for Low Deadwood Points
Players aim to reduce their deadwood points to knock. The opponent can lay off deadwood cards to form melds and reduce their own deadwood points.
Special Scoring Rules
If a player knocks with zero deadwood points, the opponent cannot lay off any cards and the player receives extra points. Special scoring rules apply based on the difference in deadwood points.
End Game Situation
If there are only two cards left in the stock pile, the game ends in a draw. The match concludes when a player accumulates 100 points.
