What is IMAPFilter FOR LINUX?

IMAPFilter FOR LINUX

IMAPFilter is a completely free and open-source command-line software designed to act as a simple and intuitive mail filtering utility for POSIX compatible mail servers and operating systems. The program is implemented in C and supports the 4.x branch of the IMAP protocol using Lua for configuration.

Key Features

  • Definition of filters

  • Size/date/status of a message

  • Support for logical operators

  • List available and/or subscribed mailboxes

  • Internationalisation (I18N) support

  • Server namespace support

  • TLS and SSL support, as well as IMAP STARTTLS support

How It Works

IMAPFilter uses IMAP to connect to a remote mail server, send searching queries, and processes mail accounts based on the results. It offers fast and efficient flagging, deleting, moving, and copying of email messages.

Installation

To install IMAPFilter on your GNU/Linux machine, download the software from Softpedia as a universal sources archive. Extract the contents, navigate to the extracted files through the Terminal, and run the configuration and compilation commands. Finally, install it system-wide and start using the program with the 'imapfilter' command.
