Installing Innotop Made Easy

Getting Innotop up and running is straightforward. You can either use your distribution's package or install it from a tarball. If you go the tarball route, just extract it and navigate to the directory:

tar zxvf innotop-< version >.tar.gz

    cd innotop-< version >

Next, generate the makefile which checks all the Perl module dependencies:

perl Makefile.PL

Now, install the program along with its man page by running:

make install

If you ever need to uninstall it, just run this command:

make uninstall
