Description
IP Load
IP Load is a handy tool designed to send a ton of IP frames to an IP address you pick. You can choose a specific TCP or UDP port and even decide the size of the data packet you want to use. Super flexible, right?
What Does IP Load Do?
This software isn’t built to listen for any responses that might come back, though. One cool feature is that you can set the maximum packets per second that you want it to send out. The software will do its best to keep up with this rate as long as your platform can handle it.
Who Is It For?
IP Load was made with developers and network testers in mind. It’s perfect for testing and debugging networks. When you're using it, you'll see live stats in the main window showing how fast frames are being sent, how many have been sent so far, and how long they've been transmitting.
How Does It Work?
If you're using TCP connections, once you close the setup window, the connection opens up and stays active until you reopen that window again. Pretty straightforward!
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Sometimes when the receiver gets overloaded or congested, the data sent in TCP frames might not split into your chosen packet sizes. This happens because of how big the receiver's TCP window is set up. So just a heads-up: when this occurs, your stats might not be spot on.
