Description
Jac-Ping
Jac-Ping is a super simple software tool that helps you check how strong the connection is between your local computer and another remote computer by sending ping commands. It sounds a bit technical, but don’t worry! You don’t need to be a networking whiz to use it.
Easy Setup and User-Friendly Interface
After a quick setup, you'll find yourself in front of an easy-to-use interface. It looks like a regular window—nothing fancy, but very straightforward. Navigating through it is a breeze!
Pinging Made Simple
All you need to do is type in the host name or IP address you want to ping. Then, set the TTL and timeout (in milliseconds) and just hit that button to start pinging! There’s even an option for continuous ping mode if you want to keep track of things over time.
Log Your Activity
You can log program activity into a file, which saves all the details in .csv format. Plus, you can choose how often you want to ping (in seconds). If at any point you want to stop the pings or clear out old log data, that’s super easy too!
Traceroute Feature
If you're curious about the route your data takes, Jac-Ping lets you perform a traceroute with up to 32 hops. This helps uncover any delays in packet transit along the way. Just keep in mind there aren’t many extra features beyond these basic functions.
No Stability Issues
You’ll be glad to know that during our tests, we didn’t run into any stability problems. The app didn't crash or throw error messages at us. It handled both pinging and traceroute tasks quickly without using up too many system resources—so your computer keeps running smoothly!
The Bottom Line: Fast and Free Solution
In summary, Jac-Ping offers a quick and effective way to perform ping and traceroute on specific hosts. Sure, it doesn’t let you ping multiple hosts at once, but it gets the job done—and did we mention it’s free?
