What is JarBuilder FOR LINUX?

JarBuilder

JarBuilder is a super handy tool for Java programmers who need to create jar files easily. It’s built using Java and has a user-friendly Swing GUI that makes it simple to use.

How to Use JarBuilder

Even though JarBuilder doesn’t work like a traditional wizard, it's still pretty straightforward. You can build your own jar files in just three simple steps:

  • Step 1: Choose the files you want to add to your jar file.

  • Step 2: Load or write your manifest file. The cool part? JarBuilder can automatically find the main classes for you and put the right info in the manifest file!

  • Step 3: Pick the compression level for your jar file, and voila! JarBuilder does its magic and creates the file.

Why Choose JarBuilder?

If you're a Java developer, you might usually create your jar files by hand or use tools like Ant. But if you're working on smaller projects, JarBuilder can be way faster than those other options. You won't even have to write a manifest file just for the Main-Class statement!

Requirements

You need:

  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.5 or later

The great thing is that since JarBuilder is written in Java, it works on any platform that supports Java! Just unzip what you downloaded and start the JarBuilder.jar file by double-clicking it (if supported) or run this command:

java -jar JarBuilder.jar

Please note: If you want that cool kunststoff look & feel support, make sure you have the kunststoff.jar file in the same folder as JarBuilder.jar!
