jpeekaboo

jpeekaboo is a super easy app made in Java that lets you jot down notes right on your desktop. It’s perfect for keeping track of important stuff like tasks, meetings, birthdays, or even vacations!

Easy to Use for Everyone

This tool comes with a few options that anyone can set up, even if you're not a tech whiz. If you have Java installed on your computer, you’re all set! You won’t need to install anything else. It’s all packed into one little file that you can copy to any folder or even a USB stick so you can run it on any PC with Java.

No Fuss Installation

The best part? jpeekaboo doesn’t mess with your system registry or create random files on your disk. When you open it up, it drops an icon in your system tray, making it super easy to access its settings.

Quick Access Notes

You’ll see a blank note with a bright yellow background pop up on the right side of your screen. Don't worry, if it's not in focus, it’ll hide away until you move your cursor over to the right margin again!

Customizing Your Notes

If you want to keep the note from hiding, just hold down the Ctrl button and double-click anywhere on the note (left or right click). Want to change its size? Just hold Ctrl again and drag the cursor over to the left margin!

Pinning Options

You won’t find any fancy context menus or customization options for text and background colors here. But guess what? You can pin the main window on either side of the screen and adjust how tall it is based on your display size.

Saves Your Settings

Your notes and preferences for pinning will remember where they were when you close jpeekaboo and load them back up next time. Just keep in mind that horizontal sizing won't be saved.
